A320neo hand icon

Does anyone know why I get a hand icon when I hover over of the dials on the autopilot panel in the A320? Every video I see shows an up/down/circle directional arrow. I can’t for the life of me figure it out

The hand is there to help you turn the knob. Hard to turn a knob with an arrow.
You can use your mouse wheel when the hand is visible.

The blue highlighting means you’re on the “Locked” interaction mode, which works different than the previous kind of interaction.

To get back to the old one, set
General Settings - Accessibility - Cockpit Interaction System
To “Legacy”. This should get rid of the blue highlighting and bring you the cursor variation back.

The Locked mode is mainly supposed to be used with controllers instead of mouse.

That’s what I was looking for. Wasn’t expecting it there. Thanks!

However the arrows up and down are utter ■■■■ too… :man_shrugging:t2: Hardly usable in turbulence. Left and right mouse would have been the correct and user-friendly way. But the user interface is MSFS‘ weakest point anyway.

Using the mouse wheel (as @MeridianOwl4306 wrote) works quite well though, not just on turnable knobs but also on switches.

Yep but not for the push/pull-handling of the airbus buttons/switches, unfortunately

I mean the „legacy“ setup. The last thing I need in a cockpit are glooming switches and knobs
