A321 sound changes/problem

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Sounds levels on the A321LR have changed
Now fly deck fans sounds are louder. The sound is so loud that it drowns out almost all other sounds, such as the engines or cabin interaction. The radio it is barely audible.

The sound of the fans can be reduced by pressing the “blower” button, which seems to me to be inverted. In normal mode (not pressed), it operates at full power, and when you press it, it reduces speed (and noise). Anyway, the radio is hardly heard.

This same problem is present on the A320neo. And now also on the A321LR.

Which blower button do you mean, can you please upload a photo of it so I can test it too

In the Overhead, ventilation panel → blower

There’s another thread on this issue. The blower buttons make a slight difference but I don’t think that’s the issue. Seems to a be a mixing issue generally.

The more I fly the Airbus family, the more I am convinced of the same thing.

Yes and it’s much worse or pronounced (which ever way you look at it) in .14 build. You can barely hear ATC and yes before anyone ask’s… the ATC volume was set to max in cockpit.

Today I made a discovery. Was preparing a flight with the A320v2 and decided to use the surround 5.1, (I usually just use the TV, has Dolby, so… ).

Anyway, when channels are separeted, you can ear the ATC clearly!. The ATC goes through the center channel and engines, fans and other sounds goes on the left and right (front and back) channels.

It would be interesting if someone else could test this and confirm/deny if the same thing happens.

Maybe it’s something for the development team to review how the sounds are mixed.

I’m on xbox X, BTW.

It’s quite clearly bugged due to the massive increase in volume as you move the throttles. At idle it’s loud, at ~30% it’s insane and then it completely disappears once you spool up. It’s the mixing that I believe is supposed to replicate the engine volume overtaking the blower/fans volume, but of course the idle blower volume makes the whole thing pointless as the engines sound so much quieter.

It’s not a settings or audio input issue for ATC etc.. the bug just needs fixing but nothing so far. Inibuilds apparently need MS/Asobo to request the fix according to their forums/discord. Not that many people seem to be raising it as an issue.

Not fixed in SU2. Still surprised how few people have voted for this issue, I’m starting to think it’s an issue on my side but the volume differences are crazy and so wrong compared to any other plane installed.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
