Today I had the latest Sim reboot after pausing and resuming a session. This has happened at least half a dozen times since I started using MSFS 2024.
I was flying the A321 from Toronto to Thunderbay from the parking stand. After going through all the preparation, including programming the FMS (the SimBrief EFB still won’t accept my credentials) I was holding at Rwy 23 when I had to step away from the game.
I haven’t been using the pause function in the toolbar, rather I have been stepping out to the first menu. There you have the choice to resume, abort, restart, and return to the main menu.
After 15 minutes I came back and resumed the flight. The panel was blurred and when it resolved itself, all the LED number indicators were black. I waited for the system to render the instruments, but once again the screen went black for 15 to 20 seconds, and then I saw the first panel of the MSFS 2024 boot up session..
When it came back there was no trace of my flight.
Has anyone else encountered Sim reboots upon resuming the game after a pause of more than a few minutes?
Would it be better to just pause the flight using the pause button on the room bar?
