A321LR Fuel Load in EFB does not Equal FOB

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

When loading fuel from the built in EFB the weight in FOB does not match.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Always.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Go to the Payload tab in the EFB. See the fuel quantity and compared to the FOB value in the central display. It does not correspond.

  2. Input another value for the fuel in the EFB and apply the load.

  3. Check the FOB in the central display. It still doesn’t match.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

Hi @ppocmrmojo ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

@ppocmrmojo : please do not report multiple issues in the description, it is confusing.
If you could edit your post to just focus your description on the issue you want to report so that it can be moved back to the Bug Reporting Hub > Aircraft & Systems .

Issue seems to be related to “External 1” tank (I suppose the tail one ?) as reported on the EFB.

If you enter 10000 kgs in the tablet:

Then it load 10000 kgs into the wing tanks but does not empty the External 1 tank (the 3290 kgs is the default quantity for this tank when you spawn in). This quantity is taken in account in the central display.

So it seems a logic issue with the External 1 tank at least, not sure about the others 3 central tanks.

If you fully load it, all match:

Hi.

Ok. Thank you for confirming the bug.

I didn’t check the levels in each tank.

So are you going to move the topic to where it’s supposed to be?

Or is it me? How do I do that?

Thanks.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When applying fuel load from EFB in the A321LR the fuel loaded does not match the EFB

the aircraft maintains the 3300kg of starting fuel in the centre tank regardless of applied load.

I reproduced this after another user reported the issue in discord.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

  • always

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load to a gate in A321LR

  2. Setup load details in EFB either through importing Simbrief plan or manually adjusting loads (as per EFB screenshot)

  3. Click apply load - then the wrong load appears in the ECAM - with the centre tank still showing the starting 3300kg .(as per ecam screenshot)

Thank you for moving this !

just happened to me randomly during flight as well.

This is still very much a thing, even in the most recent SU5 beta (.24). The aircraft starts on the ground with a 50% fuel load (13200kg) and there is no way of changing this using the inibuilds EFB. Payload can be changed from the inibuilds EFB.

Fuel can be correctly loaded using the sim EFB aircraft page although in order to see what you are about to load, you first need to change it to kg, move the slider slightly and then load aircraft and this allows it to show a real time quantity as you move the slider. Prior to doing this, it shows an incorrect value

Yeah, I can confirm this is still happening on the SU5, I just tried it. Works fine on the A320 Neo, But A321LR still has this problem. Can’t load fuel through the aircraft’s EFB, only through the sim one.

Furthermore, the fuel X-Feed still doesn’t work on either A320 Neo or A321LR(It does work on the A330s though), but that’s a separate problem that I’ll report again since my previous thread was archived when the SU4 went out of BETA without addressing the problem.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

Any update on this. Is it bug-logged now?

This still appears to be a problem in SU6.

Can confirm the issue.

Just seen the SU6 full update was released and specifically went to check to see if this issue was fixed. It indeed was not! I have waited almost 2 months for this fix. Aircraft always loads in at 50% fuel and using the simbrief efb doesn’t change it still even after saying successful.
