I’m not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having random issues with the CL throttle mode on a semi regular basis.
Once I depart and throttle back to the LVR CLB notch when notified, the auto-pilot throttles basically to idle and the only work around is to keep the throttles in the max-flex mode. Is there something I am doing wrong? Or is it my simulator as I notice on random occasions on initial load both the 787 mod and the A32nx cold start that sometimes one or two of the displays wont show/faulty but a quick reset usually fixes that too so not sure if there is a error somewhere which may interlink with the A32nx and the 787 mod
Is the thrust lever in the cockpit itself is set to CL?
So basically.
I select max flex for take off, then when notified on the screen I select LVR BLB mode and sometimes everything works but other times I need to keep the throttle at Max flex for the entire climb which then seems to sort itself i.e LVR CLB mode works almost 100% once I am at my cruise altitude.
On the first initial start up 60-70% of the time I need to reset the flight due to, usually the map screen being blanked out for both, the 787 mod and both the DEV A32nx and the stable build
Yeah mate it is.
I think I know what you may be thinking as sometimes it can be a little finicky when using the logtech throttle as it sometimes clicks/moves a bit cluncky and it takes a few moves to get it into the CL notch and it only has to be a mil or two out and it will be in the wrong position, but when I have the CL issue when the Auto pilot idles the throttle, I always make sure it’s in the CLB mode and the only work around seems to be keeping it in the Max flex mode
Wait, you have both the Dev A32NX and the stable build? at the same time?
Hmm, try this way first.
- Delete all A32NX and FlyByWire folders from the community folder and the packages folder above it.
- Maybe remove the 787 mod as well just to be safe.
- Use the FlyByWire installer (version 1.1.4 or later) to install a fresh copy of the mod.
- Try to download the Experimental Custom version of the A32NX mod.
- You might need to recalibrate the throttle detents inside the cockpit using the EFB FlyPad. There’s a video by 320 Sim Pilot on youtube on how to do them.
LVR CLB shouldn’t be at the cruise altitude. It should start flashing as soon as it reaches about 1,500 AGL or depending on how you set up your Take Off PERF page.
Thanks heaps for the reply mate, ill try those options later on and see what one works. haha apologies what I meant was that I have tried both the Dev and Stable A32nx and I still get issue so it must be the 787 mod, something not correctly entered in pre flight, the throttle on my joystick or maybe I am going into LVR CLB to late or to soon..
But it is a random one as most of the time it works, 100% of the time if I keep it in the max flex all through to the cruise altitude and select the LVR CLB then the speed management works fine again. It is just odd that sometimes after take of and selecting the LVR CLB auto pilot selects idle thrust
I have the 787 mod and the A23NX mod installed. They do not conflict. But I agree that something is borked up in your install. If you can’t figure it out then delete all mods and try re-installing everything from scratch. One mod at a time.
