On the default Asobo A320, I have my right pedal mapped to “rudder axis right” and left pedal mapped “rudder axis left”
These settings don’t work on the FBW modded version. My rudder pedals are stuck in an opposed position by default. For instance, ill spawn in and the right rudder pedal will be fully depressed. If I engage the left rudder pedal at all, the left pedal becomes fully engaged and stays there.
This means the plane will have 100% rudder to the left/right unless I partially depress one of the pedals 50% (which brings things back to neutral).
I’m aware that it’s possible to map the front wheels for steering and taxing, but I still need rudders for takeoff and landing etc…anyone dealt with this?
There is only the brake axis which has a left and a right binding. As @BeardyBrun already wrote, there is just A rudder axis to bind. No right, no left.
Ah yeah, should have specified that I’m using a bit of a hack with my Fanatec load-cell pedal set. There are 2 separate axes in this case. There are tutorials online about how to map 2 pedals to a single axis using vJoy and another program. But after going through that install, it occurred to me to try the separate left/right axes maps, and it worked. It seems Asobo realized some people will have “decoupled” pedals and put this option in the menu…it just doesn’t work with the modded aircraft for whatever reason.
Because this topic is about mapping, and I didnt want to start a whole thread.
Regarding engine start, my thrustmaster is mapped like mentioned on countless youtube vids, but for some reason, engine two when I flip up the switch, it actually shuts off the engine but visually, the fuel switch on the actual A32nx cockpit is in the on position… weird
Did you bind it with Mobiflight? Don’t think there is a solution without it. I start the FBW Engines with my TM Warthog Throttle Switches and it works good.
I also went ahead and mapped the nose wheel steering controls to the twist axis on my flight stick (Airbus TCA), which really helps. Taxing was tricky at first but I think im getting used to it after a few short flights.
