Currently, the two default Boeings are in a very bad place regarding the audio callouts and different system sounds. I do hope that Working Title is also working on this to improve. Here are my main gripes with the current situation. This applies to both the 787-10 and the 747-8i.
V1 callout is barely audible. Please make it much louder.
Autopilot disconnect has NO sound whatsoever (this is a long-standing bug)
No “Plus hundred” and “Minimums” callouts
Altitude callouts are barely audible. Please make them much louder.
There are possibly other callouts that are missing (Bank angle, sink rate?).
I hope AAU2 will manage to improve on this, because it would add a lot of realism and immersion to these aircraft.
I guess this all depends on whether the IP of those sound clips can be licensed. Note that while the aircraft manufacturer and FMS usually are, there are missing callouts even in those planes because the sound clips are a separate IP and therefore subject to licensing. If a deal can’t be reached for whatever reason, they’re out.
I understand why some callouts may be missing but I still hope they can be implemented, whatever procedure it takes. Also, what’s already in there should sound properly, all of the existing callouts are simply too silent. And the autopilot disengage warning sound also used to be in there but it’s not anymore due to a bug. That one should be fixed as well.
