Ability to stream pop outs for use with Air Manager 4.2

Air Manager 4.2 supports Nav Display pop outs being streamed to another device! Can we see MSFS support this? It made a world of difference in X-Plane 12.

For those who don’t understand why this is is so powerful for most home cockpits see this video. Asobo only needs to make these 2D screen textures accessible to developers through the API.

Having this WITH **native touch support ** for the pop outs is really what we need!!

This right there is key. If they don’t include touch support, adding this streaming would be a giant regression.

At least with the popouts now and using POPM, we can add the virtual touch to mouse click layer so that we can use the screens with touch. The solution isn’t ideal, but at least it add that functionality.

If native touch support isn’t included but streaming added, then we’d lose this ability altogether and it would make the streaming support objectively worse than the currently bad popout system. It would be a huge step backwards.

To add to this - streaming would be fine for the G1000 or GNS units that don’t require touch input. But the second you’re looking at planes that have the GTCs (like TBM or Longitude) or any 3rd party plane that has GTN support (either PMS50 or TDS), it’s a huge regression.

XP12 has streaming, but it’s only for their G1000, GNS, and other displays that don’t require touch input. Touchscreen avionics like the GTN are provided via the 3rd party RealityXP GTN 750. Like the TDS GTNXi, that runs the Garmin Trainer and links it to the sim. So you’re running that as an external, standalone program independent of the sim. It doesn’t have popout integration like the TDS does in MSFS.

That said, if you use the TDS GTNXi, you CAN run it in standalone mode. That used to be the default in fact before they added the ability to see the display in the virtual cockpit and pop it out. Although it’s more limiting in that mode, as you can’t run dual 750s like many 3rd party planes have. You can only run a 750 + 650.
