Absurd error:can'install fs

Brief description of the issue:
I can’t install the sim. The sim even crash after synchronysation before checking for updates

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
install the launcher…Start fs2020…the game crash before searching for updates even before arrive at bar of 110 gb of installation
PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant:
i9900k 3080ti 32gb ram (clean install of win10)
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
6 Genuary 2022 6 hours left to last su7 update

Go to Windows Settings > Time & Language > Speech > Manage Voices, and check that “English (United States)” is installed, along with any other languages you already have.

I log in PC of my friends with my account…same problem…I think it’s a big server side issue…i’m blocked…I have done a clean install of win 10…resetted …format PC… same issue…

please show us the message from windows event log…

shows for the moment only that your friends PC have possible same missing pre-condition or tools which prevent the installation of msfs on its pc

if i launch the game from my friend pc with his account it works perfectly… he also has fs2020…with my account give the same problem that i have on my pc…The sim crashed from a moment to another and never launch again…I unistall the sim e try to reinstall…nothing…The sim is blocked…I think is a server related problem

never had problems …i purchased the sim at 00 00 of 18 august …now is completely blocked at start…it doesn’t even reach the searching for updates page

i wrote to zendesk…they wanted the log file one week ago…At the moment no answer…it’s absurd
if problem won’t be solved i will ask a refund of sim and all the official packages that i purchased

this is a different story as you former described and points often to an accout-issue or invalid cloud data.

The errors also pointing to GameServices , which can be possible because the login-issue ( TCUI-App.exe / 0xc000027b ). 0x80000003 points sometime to a memory problem ( windows virtual setting )… but I assume its some of former mentioned. I remember a similar case, but not found for the moment.

On your pc you can also try a wsreset etc… may be…

i agree with account issue or invalid cloud data that you mentioned…The gaming services are ok…I think there is a sync error with the cloud and account…absurd

You can try to re-login in xbox-app ( restart pc in middle )… but if that will not helpfull I fear you have to look here

( reset first if you re-check all other hints, like checking clock, etc… … because you lost your game data )

i have looked but i can’t switch offline mode…it ask me to insert cd if i turn off the internet connection…absurd…i was sure it’s a cloud problem

there is also a FAQ for “insert CD” message for none DVD owners , and some older forum topics… I can’t exact remember, but I have in mind this was because of licence-check which the app will do. Going offline was a little bit later. But I own Steam and have not much experiance with the MSFS reset in case of MS-Store.

May be you can ask for help in that other topic. Sometime also other users comes with new ideas :slight_smile:

Don’t work for me…it’s another issue not related with my problem

Problem solved…it was the cloud…I made a wipe out of the cloud with a complicated operation

I run in the same problem.
Have the DVD version worked till this week and sudenly couldn’t start the sim anymore. It crashes soon after the first animated screen (pilatus ported).
Suspected a Windows updates so re-installed everything from scratch.
The problem is at first launch it asks for the xbox account it says hello happy to see you again and at the syncing data window it just crashs and cannot go beyond that step.
I did tried every zendesk basic suggestions but nothing.

Sim is avaiblable in the xbox app but doesn’t listed in the Windows apps section.
Only have MSFS - DVD Content : 101Go and that’s all.

I can’t install the game myself. I have spent over 30 Hours troubleshooting this game and I’m done. When I purchased it last year it installed fine and ran great. Now I can’t get past Mandatory Update. I wish I could get my money back. I have followed multiple Youtube Videos, FS2020 Forums, been on with MS Support for over 6 hours, followed the Guides under MS Store to troubleshoot and fix potential problems, numerous restarts, clean installs, error checks, updates etc… I have spent more time troubleshooting this game then actual play time, this is ridiculous and I’m personally discouraged from investing into this now.

Yes it worked !
I did managed to reset my buggy XBox App Account but it was hard and painfull.

I tried re-install the sim (DVD version), windows and finally it was a bug in the saved profile (which sits in the cloud).
And all that happened suddenly last week : one day everythings works and the next day sim cannot boot at all (crash after the 2 animated intro).

All that said is that DVD version is useless in fact because you can’t restore in the initial state. It is linked to the XBox Account once registered.
