Allow users to toggle an “Exhibition Mode” in currently-competitive activities like landing challenges, rally races, etc. that allow them to use any aircraft they choose, but their scores will not count against weekly/friends/world leaderboards.
If someone really wants to try a rally race in the Beluga XL, let them 
At the moment, all the activities that appear in the challenges (Rally, Low Altitude & Landing) are fixed to specific aircraft.
While that’s fine in terms of the weekly challenge, I would love to see the aircraft choice opened up to free choice for the Activities screens.
I would love to be able to for example, take an F-14 around the Mach Loop.. and be able to see how it compares with my F-18 attempts. Or how it compares to a friend in a P-51D.
Ideally, we’d have the leaderboards such that we can fly any aircraft on any challenge and then be able to filter at 3 levels (Overall, Class & Aircraft).
Please remove the restrictions on aircraft choices for the Red Bull Races (and ideally other activities too). If I want to try completing a race in a cessna, or a spitfire, we should be able to try it.
It’d need separate leaderboard for challenge/aircraft combinations perhaps - or just don’t save the results for free-choice aircraft.
Ideally this should apply to ALL the challenges. Why can’t we do the air rally challenges in a Tomcat instead of a Hornet? Or land on the oil rig in a Chinook? Hell.. even do the low altitude challenge in a CrossKart… why not?
I agree with this idea. I’d love to be able to try the various courses in the one of the Gee Bees. I be quite happy to be able to fly them as a scored but non-recorded event as the OP suggests.
I’d expect that this option would be popular with multiplayer too, if made to work in this mode.

Would love to have a choice of helicopter/aircraft for the Stranger Things activities.
I’m amazed there isn’t more support for this idea. I would have thought there would be more interest in uncoupling the competitive activities from specific aircraft.
Imagine the contest between boeing vs airbus pilots on landing challenges, for example. Or fans of different jet fighters competing against each other on the rally circuits.
Different helicopters competing for most precise landing spots. etc.
I thought this would have enormous potential.. or are the activities just not something anyone’s really interested in?
