ACVFC: Come Fly At - Fly In - Fly Out KLNA Florida (Uncontrolled)

Event

Fly at - Fly in - Fly out - KLNA Lantana Florida

Palm Beach County Park airport in Lantana Florida is an “uncontrolled airport” sitting beneath the class C airspace of West Palm Beach International KPBI.

One of Lantana’s three runways will be the “active” runway for VFR traffic, and all traffic should announce position and intentions on the ACVFC Discord group flight channel just as would happen IRL at an uncontrolled field. There is no ATC, so pilots must be alert and announce.

GA singles and twins, and Robinson helicopters doing VFR flight training make up the majority of traffic for Lantana. There are instrument procedures for IFR training there as well.

Come fly the pattern, or depart to nearby Boca Raton or Wellington Aero club airports (or the Intracoastal water way for seaplane pilots), and then rejoin the pattern to land. (VFR Straight-ins are discouraged, but it is an uncontrolled airport so they do happen.)
