Add Dynamic runway and taxi lights!

Please add dynamic runway and taxi lights to fs2024 and fs2020. The static lit texture lights we have now is old and falls back to fs2004,fsx days.

“Dynamic lights” light up the ground and objects around the light source. I dont think ive seen any post about this.

Something like Flyt’s Enhanced Runway Lights?

But if you talk about the actual runway lights in the pavement, they are in RL very directional and do not light up the pavement around them

If you are talking about taxi way signage, they should light up the ground around them
and I think they do so already - aren’t they?

Dynamic lights, in the sense not only lighting up static geometry as runways and buildings are really expensive and you usually not do this for hundreds of lights on an airport. There are methods however to pull this off, but I think the used Zouna engine was not designed to handle that many lights dynamically

But realistically it’s not really necessary - in normal usage of the flight sim (other to playing a virtual plane photographer) you wan‘t see the difference as you are usually inside the plane where such lights definitely wan‘t have an effect

Dynamic lights are not expensive. The sim allready have thousands of them. But not on the rwy and taxiways that i think its strange. Its just the old fsx light blobs that doesnt look good if you turn off bloom. X-plane have had dynamic rwy and taxi lights since x-plane10.

Are you sure? I highly doubt it. But I don‘t know XP in detail.
I think we both do understand different things under „dynamic lights“ - as already written 3 3D engines by myself, I can tell you, real dynamic lights are not light weight

Yes im pretty sure sir.m
