Scope
Every cm2 of the Netherlands is available in 3D photogrammetry, captured by Cyclomedia Technology. It would be amazing if this could be brought into Bing and therefore MSFS! Imagine having not only a city captured, but the whole country - up until the finest detail (resolution 2-6cm).
Current issues
Bing maps in this region are outdated as well as facing color issues (way too green) and are low quality (high m per pixel value). Secondly, the Amsterdam photogrammetry does not blend in with these old textures and also is not of the same quality as for example in the USA. Lastly, only Amsterdam and Utrecht are covered with photogrammetry, which is a shame.
Yeah I think you make more change if you write Cyclomedia Technology and ask them to create an addon for MSFS. That way they have an excellent showcase of the quality of their data and the usage of their API. If you would bring it that way they might see the added value. Otherwise implementing such high quality data is really expensive.
Height data is also pretty good available using pdok.nl (think 25cm resolution) but don’t really see a nice way to combine it with also available aireal pictures and something like Google Streetview for the sides of buildings.
Just flew a bit with a chopper over Amsterdam and it sure doesn’t have the quality as some USA sites.
