Add winners of the weekly photocompetion to the library of loading screens

There are some truly excellent images taken by members of this forum for the weekly screenshot competition.

Why not add the best of them to the library of loading screens in MSFS as a reward for their creativity and effort and to give us a wider variety of images to admire when waiting for our flight to start!

If that is too complex a change, perhaps adding them to the Main screen’s carousel on rotation.

Voted yes.

Oh so there are…both from over 2 years ago too. I think the ā€˜your topic is similar to’ algorithm when creating a post needs some work! Merge away…

I think the difference is I’m suggesting the use of images already submitted and assessed for merit by MS and also that have already had to abide by certain rules. If you added a ā€˜consent for reuse’ then I really can’t see why they couldn’t be added /refreshed with the SU/WUs.

A bit of work, sure…but not much surely?

Excellent idea, @AlpineB4652! The ā€œloadingā€ screen images tend to get refreshed every time there’s a wold update. The last World Update (for Brazil) was 4 months ago. I’ve pretty much memorised the facts of this update from watching the loading screen that many times since then (elevation data updates, 7 bespoke airports, 3 discovery flights, 3 landing challenges, etc.). Sure, show this loading screen for the first week or 2 after the update goes live, and maybe show it again a few times if/when the update is actually installed.

But outside of that, I agree that the competition winners (and even runners up) have some excellent shots in the weekly updates that are easily worthy to be included in the loading screen rotation.

That’s actually a really good idea! Voted
