Additional PC-24 Issues (SU4) – Sound, Flight Model & Systems Feedback

I want to start by saying this: the PC-24 is much better than it was at release. The difference is huge, and since SU4 it’s finally in a state where I actually enjoy flying it.

That said, there are still a few things that really hold it back for me.

First of all, the default sounds are honestly awful. The cockpit engine sound is insanely loud and aggressive, like a rocket engine right in your face. No real business jet sounds like that inside the cockpit. It completely kills immersion, especially on longer flights.

The avionics are usable, but the level of detail and polish is still far from what I’d call immersive. Compared to other welldone MSFS aircraft, it still feels pretty basic.

Then there’s the TAWS issue. On landing it constantly calls “Don’t sink, don’t sink”, even when you’re perfectly stable on the glide path. Yes, you can disable it, but it clearly shouldn’t be triggering in normal, correct landing conditions.

The biggest problem for me right now is the flight model during landing. The aircraft floats way too much. I did a bunch of touch-and-go’s to get a better feel for it, and it just feels wrong. Rotation happens around 140 kts, but even with gear and flaps down at around 150 kts, it really doesn’t want to settle. It just keeps floating down the runway, while the TAWS keeps shouting “don’t sink”. It’s frustrating and doesn’t feel realistic.

What makes this extra annoying is that most of this could probably be improved fairly quickly if we had access to the config files. If the aircraft.cfg wasn’t encrypted, I’m pretty sure parts of the community could help tune this in no time. I really don’t see why these files need to be locked, they’re not exactly top secret.

Overall great progress, and credit for how far it’s come. But with better sounds, a landing flight model tweak, and some avionics polish, this aircraft could be so much better. Curious how others are experiencing it since SU4.
