ADF: no NDB signal SOLVED

ADF: went through Jonathan Becketts excellent video regarding the ADF. It’s pretty straight forward, but, flying, so that you can capture the NDB (as you normally cannot get the signal from the ground) I have not yet been able to get a signal. NDBs close and far, and not one registered a signal. Been flying this bird since release so all necessary power switches are on and using the method exactly as in the video, but nothing! Bit disappointing.

EDIT: The plane has a very crude ADF system. I have discovered that NDBs that have the decimal .5 cannot be picked up by the system. Only integers. Many NDBs in the west have the suffix .5

It is a problem as, without their use, the integer NDBs are generally too far apart in the UK where I mostly fly.

I had no issue with this in the GNS version. Dial in the frequency, switch to active. Captured the NDB from about 50-60 miles(could have been further out, flying at 3400ft), both gauges (the one on the pilot side, and the large one on the right) pointed correctly toward the NDB. I didn’t try this in the non GNS version.

Which NDB? If you are on PC, download Little Nav Map, make sure you’ve got it set to use MSFS’ nav database and then turn on the range ring for the NDB you’re interested in. It will show the area within which you should be able to pick it up.

Hello @alanrco5287 , in the future, please do not delete the bug template. It is supposed to be filled out. Thank you!
