Bug is observed on a PC using the Xbox app version of MSFS2024

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: The advanced map layers become unavailable after clicking on a mission then going back to the map screen, once you go back to HQ then return to the map, there is a message stating Map Layers are only available when in Live Weather.
If you go back to the Main menu then enter career mode once again the layer will be available.

1.Open Career Mode
2.Click on Missions
3.In the map screen open the Advanced Map Layers and select the required data

5.Click Back to return to the map screen
6.Advanced Data is unavailable

7.Go back to HQ then return to the Mission Screen
8.Open the Advanced Map Layer

9.It states “Only available in live weather condition”

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Advanced Map Layer settings on the Free Flight map mode are not functioning on the second time you click it. You have to exit the map menu first and go back to make it work again (video attached)

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?

Yes, because on SU2, the cloud layers are enabled by default which is kinda frustrating for me to zoom in to the airport while having clouds on top of it. so i have to turn it off everytime i open the sim. (Please make the setting saved or something)

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Open Free Flight menu (seems like it also happened on career mode map as well)
  2. Click Map Layers menu (3 stacked rectangle icon on the slightly bottom right)
  3. Choose Advanced
  4. Set Weather Layer from Clouds to Off (i wish this is the default one)
  5. Close the Map Layers menu by clicking the same icon (3 stacked rectangle one)
  6. Repeat number 2, and Advanced button is non functioning

  • 1.4.12.0.
  • Live weather must be turned on in order for you to turn off clouds.
    but I wouldn’t know because I don’t do career mode.
