Although this is not great and shouldnât be allowed in flight sim, purely to play devils advocate if it was in the contract that they could do this when you bought the other scenery then legally and contractually they have done nothing wrong.
Although I canât see anything specific to msfs in their terms and conditions they do talk about using targeted advertising as part of their agreement.
I recommend emailing FSDG with a link to this thread. Theyâll probably remove those ads just to avoid this negative publicity.

FSDG? I expect they want their advertising in their freeware otherwise everyone would remove it straight away and no-one would see it.

Closed because issue is resolved. The advertising is part of a freeware package by FSDG, users have the option of manually removing the advertising.
