Hello and have a good day for flying in the simulator. This morning, I wanted to do a nice flight from Male (VueloSimple) to Mauritius (FSDG). However, I was annoyed by the advertising integrated into the simulator. I find it shameful, and it completely breaks the immersion. If you know how to disable these ads, I’m all ears.
PS: I was excited about buying the FSDG scenery, but this advertising has put a damper on my enthusiasm.
This is the base sim? No addon that has the advertising in it? The world wouldn’t have that since Bing maps doesn’t have it. That has to have come in with an addonn.

I googled fsdg-online. com. The company is ‘Flight Sim Development Group.’
They sell sceneries (including Mauritius,) missions, and a few utilities. Advertising like that definitely makes me not want to purchase any of their products. I wouldn’t mind if they mapped it to the side of a terminal or hanger building, but what OP showed is ridiculous.

So the airport in your screenshot is Payware Mauritius by FSDG already? And the “advert” is for… a better one by them? I don’t get it.
The screenshots appear to be of Velana International in the Maldives, so the VueloSimple one.
OK but I still don’t get it. It’s already a Payware? This text appears above it. So what are they advertising? A new version of their own airport? It says FSDG in the text.
And the only way to get rid of it would be to buy another one?
OP said he was put off buying any more FSDG airports so I assumed this was to do with them. I’m really confused 
Isn’t it a case of FSDG spamming advertising for their own supposedly upcoming Valena International?
I’m assuming if they uninstall the other FSDG product it will go away.
Oh so you think they are placing text over way distant airports, even if you already own a Payware of it?
So it could be anywhere in the world or multiple locations as soon as you install any other of the FSDG airports?
That’s terrible if so.
And raises the question, what if you own several FSDG airports with this “feature”. It will place multiple of the same text over the same distant airports and look even more mental.
Either way this practice should not be allowed and Microsoft should definitely be checking but if it only appears on distant airports then that is no easy task to validate!!!

Jehouty; Something doesnt add up here. Are you saying this advertising showed up in add-on scenery you actually paid for or did it show up in a free ‘taster’ or promo you downloaded?
Thanks for warning me not to buy anything from FSDG. This is atrocious.
seems like its coming from FSDG maurutius one. can you confirm like enabling only that airport (FSDG) one and disabling the rest? also did you get the mauritius one from marketplace or from 3rd party marketplace?
