Any news on a other than Marketplace vendor ?
Waiting on replies
Hello everybody, quite week on the flightsim front this week, unfortunately. Fixed up the weapons and set up the ability to hide the window tint. I was hoping to try and get the update ready to come out with SU11 but I don’t think I’ll make it. I could possibly do it if I don’t try and play with the flight model again as I had planned to, but I haven’t made that decision as of yet. I only have a couple of hours to make it though ![]()
As of now this is the change log:
Added:
IRADS Screen
Elevons droop on ground with no hydualic pressure
Interior Window tint can be turned off
Improved:
Drag Chute can now be deployed with the "deploy water rudder" keybind
Fixed:
If you are not flying the F-117, other F-117 will no longer have the left bombbay stuck open
Other F-117 now have sounds in mulitplayer
Caging backup attitude indicator caused plane to flip
Emergency Gear handle works again
And weapon models ![]()
Great info @AerialSim , Thank You! ![]()
Very nice aircraft! Maybe the B2 next?
@AerialSim Just got that awesome aircraft. Love it. but is there an option to disable the canopy tint? It really darkens the view from inside the cockpit.
Edit: OK just read your last post. BTW is there any manual provided with this fine aircraft?
Manual is available on their discord. worth the read honestly.
Great update ! Really appreciated. Thanks ![]()
Seems to be available from Orbx now. Can’t see mention of any weaponry in the description though, is it to be added later?
The weapons are included, It just not mentioned because they are in the marketplace version aswell
Well finally picked this one up. Posted this a while back from the classic Microprose game
Now in MSFS although instead of giving a thumbs up it appears my pilot has a broken arm!
Bombs too!
Fantastic, just bought it ![]()
I ran into several bugs thus far.
I have my “Toggle Water Rudder” and “Nose wheel steering Increase” buttons mapped to my pinky button on my joystick. This causes a problem on the 117 as when I deploy the chute, the NWS steering is toggled, resulting in NWS turning completely off in the 117 with no way to turn it back on.
Also having the drop at 50 ft issue. I noted also that when approaching the ground, the NWS indicator pops up on the HUD. Likewise, raising the gear any less that 190 kts results in a sharp pitch up bump after departing the runway.
And lastly, symbology in the HUD does not appear to match what the aircraft is actually doing. For instance, I’m on approach at 180 kts and the plane does not want to sink. The horizon marker is below the horizon in the HUD, but looking outside the aircraft, I’m about 5 degrees nose high. It kinda funky in that regard. Hoping you can get it sorted as this plane is great in VR.
I’d suggest you could fix the first one by not binding NWS and the chute to the same button. I can’t really help in any other way…
The pitch-up is because you don’t have the drag from the gear pulling you down anymore.
Could you screenshot this? I can’t picture what is happening in my head.
Thanks for the reply.
I do note that when I press my NWS key, NWS appears in the HUD for as long as I hold the button down. When I release the button, NWS disappears in the HUD and you can no longer steer the aircraft. That’s an issue as other aircraft that have NWS do not natively turn off the NWS because you pressed the NWS steering high button.
Also, when deploying the chute with the Water Rudder toggle, it deploys fine, but it will not stow when toggled again. I have to use the lever on the panel to stow the chute.
As far as the pitch up after gear up, it is very sharp and abrupt. I would image there would be a decrease in drag, but the onset here is immediate and would likely cause spine damage to the pilot if the real thing behaved this way. Subduing that effect might be a good approach if possible.
We had a flight last night over Vegas. Man…this bird looks really cool in flight. Especially two up. The sight picture from the cockpit in VR is amazing. Once you get this one dialed in completely, it’ll be one of my favorite aircraft to bang around the desert SW. It super-cool and the modelling and texturing is great.
Yes, see manual 4.16
FYI, folks, this is on sale for @ $14.95 US on OrbX right now – just picked it up and am anxious to check it out!
Thank you. I can buy it now. ![]()
Yes, well worth it.
Bind the NWS to (N) on the keyboard… you don’t need it on the flight stick. The chute is more important for landing. Trim down before take off and when you gear up it doesn’t pitch so abruptly. I agree this plane is a masterpiece once you learn the envelope and the community has given some great feedback.
