AeroElvira Optica cannot add fuel with keybind in either career or free flight (different than known fuel bug for all planes)

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

The AeroElvira Optica cannot have fuel added to it in career mode or in free flight. The trick to buy fuel on the maintenance screen in career, and restart the mission to get fuel working, also does not work. This is on top of the add fuel key binding not working in free flight or career mode missions/freelance.

This makes this plane unflyable in freelance because it comes with 0% fuel when you purchase a new one. Since there is currently no way to add fuel, hacky or not, this plane is not usable in career.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

IN FREE FLIGHT:

1. Bind add fuel to a key.
2. Enter free flight in the AeroElvira Optica.
3. Hit your add fuel keybinding.
4. Note that fuel was not added.

IN CAREER:

1. Open up a flightseeing company.
2. Buy an AeroElvira Optica.
3. Select a flightseeing freelance mission with that plane.
4. Add fuel on the maintenance screen.
5. Enter the freelance mission.
6. Upon entering the mission, note the plane has 0% fuel.
7. Hit the add fuel keybinding
8. Note the fuel did not go up.
9. Restart the mission (a hack that works on most planes with the fuel maintenance screen).
10. Note that there is still no fuel in the plane.

Note: Add fuel keybinding works on other planes. Both in career and in free flight.

I have the same issue on Xbox Series X. Fuel add keybind doesn’t work on this plane. The restart workaround in career mode also doesn’t work.

• I am having the exact same problem. No fuel no matter what. What good is working that many hours to purchase the plane and no fuel. Career mode is still fatality flawed with bugs in almost every flight. And don’t even get me started on the “exception errors” which almost always appears near the end of a long flight seeing mission. MSFS 2024 DO SOMETHING ABOUT MY $200 CONCRETE ANCHOR SINKING MY AIR SHIPS???

sounds similar to the TBM. while the hotkey and add fuel kvar might not function on that plane, the settable avars FUEL TANK * QUANTITY do work. not a solution but a workaround for experienced simmers.

Yup, Repair & Refuel keybind worked for me as well. Thanks for sharing it! Hope these fuel issues get fixed soon in a patch.

Did you test that in career or free flight? I have sold the optica waiting for a fix. I want to know this before buying another one. It says in the keybind it does not function when realism is enforced, and it is in career mode. Also says it refuels to full, which would be ok for me as I want to use it for flightseeing, but could also have unintended consequences relating to weight.

Works in career mode, I’ve got the plane to start and taxi, but the sim keeps throwing up unexpected errors every time I’m in a flightseeing mission so I haven’t been able to complete a flight yet. I’d avoid the Optica in career mode for now

No problem! The furthest I’ve got with it is takeoff, but the career mode crashes about 30 seconds after liftoff. It’s a shame, really want to use it in career, I’m so sick of the 172

several programs can interface w/ simconnect, like AAO/Stream Deck plugin; the native streamdeck plugin only seems to support toggles and maybe fsuipc can git er done too..

Right. ADD FUEL QUANTITY honors realism. FUEL TANK* does not per the SDK notes.

No that doesn’t work for me, after press the key the tank filled, but after few minutes the error occurs.

This plane is broken in career mode when owned by your company.
It works in employee mission / Freeflight

When i try to play it with my own company I’m not able to start it, even with ctrl+e , and it’s because fuel is always 0, whatever method you use to try to put fuel in.
