[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Every Time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start a Free Flight at any airport parking spot (cold & dark) at any airport at night.
  2. Enter the cockpit.
  3. Notice how the panel containing the gauges is illuminated, despite all lights (inc. the cabin spot light - see pic 2) being off (battery switch is off).
  4. Move your POV to the right. You’ll notice that you character has a “floodlight” attached that will illuminate objects directly in from of ones view. If you turn far enough, the exterior wing will be illuminated.
  5. Move your POV back to the front & turn on the battery. You’ll notice a slight dimming as the “floodlight” is now turned off (verify by turning your POV to the right & noticing the wing is not illuminated).
At this point the expected behavior is that the panel area would be dark, except for the gauge backlights & Garmin & autopilot displays.
  6. Increasing / decreasing the panel brightness knob on the left side of the panel has no noticable effect as the gauge backlights are being washed out by the invisible flood light.
Note: this bug may have the same root cause as this one for the Icon A5

The flashlight is the closest i’ve gotten to reproduce, but the flashlight illumination should follow your camera movement. I’ve played with every mappable light toggle and the cabin spot light.

This seems to be happening to many planes.
Here’s one for the C152
