I’ve only flown the Fury so far but here’s my take.
The Good:
The exterior model looks very nice and captures the lines very well. Also the exterior sounds are terrific. The liveries look very good with a minimum of weathering, which seems appropriate for this bird. The roundels have good proportions. The VC looks very good and it seems to fly nicely. The pilot looks authentic.
The Not-So-Good
You are positioned on the nose, not in the VC at start up. Not sure how that can get by testing. Also it’s very hard to get your eyepoint in the VC in VR, but to be fair they gave a warning about VR.
The engine sound in the VC is very anemic, almost like a WWI rotary, and has some looping. I think it would have been better to just use exterior sounds.
Light comes in through the fuselage in front of the pedals.
It gains speed at a tremendous rate in even a shallow descent. Seems odd for a biplane.
There are some small marking anomolies and a tear in the lower right wing.
I think this is a good value for 2 aircraft and hope AH will continue to update them, and look forward to more of the forthcoming prewar aircraft.
Had a chance to fly the Nimrod and similar feelings to the Fury. Great modeling and textures inside and out. Again, it’s nice to see aircraft that aren’t weathered to death. The biggest annoyance for me are the bizarre preset cockpit views. There really isn’t a cockpit vc flying view, they have you sitting on the nose. I guess it’s to make take off and landing easier, but it’s hardly realistic, and anyone should really have no problem with a normal view. It should be somewhat easy to adjust in the cfg file, but you really shouldn’t have to. Flying in VR still is problematic.
The engine sound in the vc seemed somewhat better than the Fury, but there was still some mild looping. I did notice that the ends of the ailerons are missing, and the exhaust heat was still coming out where the stacks would be, not the long exhaust pipe.
I really did enjoy flying it and if a few things can be ironed out it would be terrific. Flying in VR shouldn’t be an issue since I’ve done so with other AH aircraft.
yeh fellas, I agree with all of your comments on the aircraft. I am sure they will patch them, I fly in VR to and will get around to adjusting the cfg , for the moment I just shift + a,s it into place.
But I just love the little kites!!! I am just waiting for the GAS Gipsymoth to come out.
Thanks AH for these cool prewar fighters, a Hart would be nice!
‘edit’
the vr is better with
pilot vr , cam definition 24 set to
InitialXyz= 0.0, -0.06, -1.08

I have the exact same problem with both the Fury and the Nimrod, but with both the primer release button and the Gasvalve.
Both are not controllable with the mouse (not even with the oculus controller in VR).
I have disconnected all my peripherals from the computer except the mouse and emptied the Community folder, but the problem persists.
I have seen on Youtube that the start procedure works there, but they all use MSFS2024. So maybe it is an MS2020 problem. I now start the engine with Ctrl+E and once started I really enjoy flying these old airplanes. I will report to Aeroplane Heaven.
I indicated above that the Gas Valve and the Primer Uncage button of both the Hawker Fury and the Hawker Nimrod cannot be operated with the mouse. That appears to be an operator error on my part. Airplane Heaven has implemented a very precise engine-start procedure in these vintage aircraft. It is very important to follow the prescribed procedure exactly (there is a YouTube instruction). So for others who have problems with the operation of the mouse clickspots: Take another look at the Airplane Heaven Youtube starting procedure.
They have no plans to do a native 2024 version, so it’s a no from me, even though I was interested in buying it.
It did initially say on their website that they were going to do a native 24 version, I raised this with them, asking if it would be a free upgrade, to which I got the response that they had no plans to do a native version and where I had seen it, so they could correct it - to which I replied it’s on your own website!
The thing is, I didn’t buy this expecting a 2024 native plane. I understand the difference between “native” and “compatible” and just wanted compatible and “flown and tested in MSFS2024 and work well” but apparently that’s too much to ask.
There are enough planes that are not MSFS2024 native (i.e. they have the old file structure, textures etc.) and work flawlessly. Those are compatible
If there are serious things NOT working (like obviously the engine power in the Fury) it’s not compatible in my book.

Kudo to JF for the update. Just flew the Fury and the most impressive thing is the engine sound in the vc, it seems much improved and I didn’t notice any looping. VC eyepoint is still bizarre but I flew it in VR with modded view position and it’s great. Light still shines through the forward fuselage and can’t speak to 2024 since I didn’t use it, but overall I’m happy.
