Aerosoft Cancels Simple Traffic for MSFS | FSElite

And trying to divert attention elsewhere not. I will answer your question when you have answered mine that I asked 3 times.

Lol, please no!! P3d carries bugs from fsx times…2004 code…I was so glad to escape the bug hell  P3D is a ctd mess. Xplane got me hooked for 2 weeks, before I saw what it really is…a lot of overrated flightmodel talk, mixed with playstation textures, hidden in a never escaping haze, non-existing atmosphere, horrid water, and to top it off, arcade stockplanes. I just wanna escape all that nightmare and move on.

Yeah the haze really annoyed me with XP it was really unrealistic and off putting

I wonder if this has to do with MS/Asobo finally getting permission from various airlines to use their aircraft and liveries, in the sim? Why would you encrypt ai traffic if maybe you weren’t trying to protect those files from being altered…as per agreements with those airlines…

"Not only that but the files that Simple Traffic relied on have now become encrypted, meaning that the files are locked for editing or changes by third-party developers”

Just as its ground friction model, horrible roads and dead valley scenery around the globe.

Another thread about this - We still don’t know what changes were done and what is now encrypted. It’s not the models though as that was already confirmed by other people on here and Avsim that the models are still unencrypted.

So it is a bit of a mystery still.

Funny enough the MSFS2020 visual is the sole reason why I didn’t install P3D back. Once you play this sim it’s a no turning back to P3D, regardless of its bugs. Now having PMDG working on this sim is hard to believe in the short/mid terms. Right now the Live Weather (or 3rd parties like REX) alone is a game breaker for complex planes to climb.

@biggathebeast I changed the topic title to reflect the title of the article quoted in the first post.

The last number of posts in this thread have gone way off topic so I guess this thread has run its course.
