Does anyone know how to get them to serve sandwiches on the CRJ anymore.
I seem to have all the announcements on in the EFB, the low cost carrier is not on in the slider.
Used to serve them at altitude, till I did one of the updates, wonder if there is another trick, or a setting I am missing, or if they just removed it.
I still hear the passenger safety briefing, the pre takeoff and pre landing announcement, just no getting any sandwiches anymore….
According to this topic, it should happen once you reach the CRZ altitude you set in the FMS.
It happens for me around 14,000. I normally set the Seatbelt signs to automatic during my pre-flight and I get it every flight, you may give that a shot.
I set an Cruise Altitude in FMC, played with seat belt signs.
The slider for Low Cost airline is not green.
I am programming the flight in fmc, and not by Sim Brief….
Guess my Airline is just cheaping out…. They never seemed to bring me one in the cockpit anyway!
If anyone else has a clue, please let me know….
I have only just started to hear this announcement, and remembered reading your post. I’ve been flying the CRJ since Dec and hadn’t heard this until suddenly I’ve now heard it on two sequential flights tonight.
The only difference for me compared to what I normally do was setting up a few things in PERF INIT FMS page manually (I had been flying just with defaults after a simbrief imported flight plan).
Tonight I filled out values manually for Fuel(kg), ZFW(kg) and Cruise Alt (FL) {as someone mentioned previously} & that was it. and I get this ‘sandwiches’ call at approx FL200 - I had set a CRZ Alt of LF330. So it must be a call triggered by a certain % of the climb to cruise alt as set in the PERF INIT page. I had wrongly assumed that it would autofill these from the imported simbrief plan.
I now just want to know where my virtual sandwiches are though? 
Hated the default Skycam images. So I changed to below.
All passengers are aboard.
We are now serving sandwiches (and wine).
Captain, All passengers have left the plane. (Let’s party!
