Aerosoft CRJ Series

Ok, I uninstalled the MOD so CRJ folder disappeared and then reinstalled.

I flew to SABE airport and I wasn’t able to catch GS via VANAR.

I tried using Bonanza G36 (improvement mod v0.6 + WT mod v0.34) and I was able to catch GS via VANAR.

New sales update from Mathijs Kok:

“Let me add a quick comment… Sales for the CRJ are crazy, we have not seen this in 15 years. We were expecting some serious sales but every estimate was blown away in the first 3 days. We could not be more happy. It is really like it is 2004 again.”

This is fantastic to hear, very happy for them. I’ve been avoiding purchasing this and wait for some more bugs to be fixed with the Approach and some LNAV issues I’ve seen, but looks like I’ll cave as I know Aerosoft do a good job supporting their products.

Hopefully this means they will be more willing to port over their other product lines over to MSFS

I have really enjoyed this plane! Glad to hear their hard work is paying off for them. The visuals are out of this world, especially in the cockpit and the systems are all there for a successful flight. If you are on the fence, I’d recommend buying it.

Good news for the future of the sim.

They worked hard, good for them!

I remember quite clearly how happy I was with Flight Sim 2004, and the anticipation of FSX. At the time of release, FSX was absolutely stunning. It is a testament to how good it is that people still use that software today, and that the “engine” is used in P3D to great effect.

Fast forward to Summer of 2020 and the release of MSFS… even with all the issues - and there are many well documented problems - the software is even more ground-breaking than was FSX in 2006.

It is so nice to see long-time developers like Aerosoft get into the picture, and I have to say that I eagerly await more from them as the software becomes more mature. With the pledge of ongoing improvements from MS/Asobo, this software could take the aviation simulation community well into the next decade…

It will be really fun to be along for the ride!

Oh they announced the development of Twin Otter, A320 and A330 even before CRJ was released. Aerosoft is all in on MSFS.

Hi I’m getting really weird issues with crj whenever I try and fly I engage ap and select flight director and everything like that but the plane won’t follow the flight plan what do ever I have to manually use heading what can I do? Thanks

Also nav does not work

Hi please help… How can I close that small cover on the tail on right side?

Shut down the APU, but why do you post this question in the bugs section?

sorry… I found that. THX a lot

Hi, I am also having issues with the CRJ autopilot. Initial phase of the flight goes well, while in cruise all of the sudden it starts decreasing altitude and speed. All of the sudden if I reengage the autopilot the trim goes nuts and the airplane pulls up like crazy. If I fly it manually there is no issues. Not sure what’s going on. Is anyone else having issues l
With AP

Yes, I’ve seen the same behavior and posted about it in the thread where a type-rated CRJ pilot answers questions. Maybe you can search for it.

Basically the experts said that you should never allow the speed to drop when at or near cruise altitude. When the speed drops when you’re in altitude mode the autopilot will try to increase the angle of attack to keep altitude, thereby increasing drag, and you are caught in a vicious cycle. Your only option is the decent to a significantly lower (several thousand feet) altitude to regain speed.

Great tutorials Clumsy! How do i get an update? The version I see on the content manager is 0.1.3 and it says up to date.

Thanks, great to hear! Hmm I assume you bought it from the in-sim marketplace? It should automatically update when it’s available. I’m not familiar what the version number is for the marketplace, but I’m sure some of the folks here can clarify.

Just for clarification, this is only an issue if you are thrust limited and well below normal cruising speed. (Even slower than maximum range cruise which on the 100/200 is ~M.65).

If the speed drops and the pitch attitude increases, you simply add thrust to accelerate again.

I have never had a flight without some kind of issue the last time on approach into Gatwick from Lisbon the frame rate collapsed to about 2 fps .

My fps seems to be in the 40s when up in the air.Lower 20s 30s when on the ground.GPU usage drops as soon as I land.
