After Overclocking same FPS and FPS decreases on my way to runway

Yes

No

Brief description of the issue:

First of all here is my system.
i7-10700K
EVGA RTX 3080
32 GB RAM 2666 MHz
512GB SSD for MSFS

  1. I overclocked my CPU to 4.9 but still getting the same FPS, in fact it’s worse than SU9. Otherwise I’d not be overclocking. The aircraft that I tried at the same location are Fenix A320, FBW A320, and default A320. The performance is unfortunately worse compared to SU9 but I couldn’t get an increase after overclocking, that is something I’m curious.

  2. When I start the flight on runway, depending on the location, it’ll start with 38 FPS, let’s say the place is Munich Airport. If I start the flight from gate and prepare the aircraft for the flight, when I set everything for takeoff, even before I set the thrusts to full, my FPS is around 26-27. I don’t really know what else I can try to enhance my performance. I was one of the people who were so much satisfied with the performance of the sim in SU9, right now it’s definitely worse and can’t get that performance back no matter what I tried.
Is 26-27 FPS during the takeoff from Default Munich Airport with either Fenix or FBW normal ?
Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

I can once I play the game again.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

For 1 I can’t say anything. For 2 just fire up a flight in Munich and navigate your way to 26L.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

i7-10700K
EVGA RTX 3080
32 GB RAM 2666 MHz
512GB SSD for MSFS

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.27.21.0

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Since there was no change in FPS with overclocking, then your CPU is processing as fast as it can. Even if the clock speed was doubled, the FPS would probably be the same.

It is interesting that you are using both Fenix and FBW aircraft. I don’t have either so I cannot duplicate your issue.

Is it possible to try the same flights with the stock A320neo and compare the results?

Unfortunately yes, the performance degradation is occuring all in these aircraft. Of course the first problem is unproducable, but the second is the same. If I start at gate and made my way to the runway, the significant FPS drops are occuring.

Now I know my system is a not a beast, but even with DX12 I’m GPU limited on ULTRA settings except clouds and texture being HIGH. Being GPU limites is good but I can’t go over 30 FPS this time. Oh and last thing is my monitor resolution is 3440*1440 but changing resolution didn’t change really anything.

I used the A320neo and “drove” around Munich 26L runway and taxiway. FPS was around 30 to 33 and performance was limited by the MainThread. Looking at the file activity, the rolling cache was used the most which isn’t surprising. Once it load the Munich scenery, it continued to read from it as I taxied around. There are a couple of other files that had a lot of activity. I need to find out which aircraft or object was using those files. I have a couple of other suggestions that might help. Send me a message if your interested because I don’t want to clutter this topic.
