After World Update XVI Sim Now Needs to Reinstall Sim

After installing World update XVI, on the Steam edition of MSFS I’m now being asked to install updates when starting the Sim. Going by the size of the update, it looks like it’s needing to reinstall the complete simulator?

1.14 gig is the size of the update, so you’re good.

No. The WU is part of the Marketplace content, so it won´t be downloaded upon start. You need to download it at Marketplace. The WU comes with a core update to v1.36.2.0 that involves the launcher (.exe) and some official content updates. This is not documented in the release notes. That´s the reason for such update.

I know your a moderator, As I stated above. I had Already Installed the World Update, so I was definitely aware of it. I just wasn’t expecting the screen that I posted above to pop up six hours later. It took me by surprise.

Ok, I understand now. As you, I was running the sim on the previous version and able to download the WU16 update from the marketplace. It is only when I restarted the sim that I have been prompted with the installation manager, I was not expecting it too.
