:white_check_mark: ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  1. Description of the issue:
The AI ATC and career mode seem to be using the real weather data instead of the in-sim weather data. This is a problem if, for example, the real airport is IFR but in the sim it’s a beautiful day with clear skies. I did a flight in career mode today out of my local airport and had to disobey the ATC to be able to take off because it thought the airport was in IFR conditions. I also got a “hazardous weather” bonus at the end of the mission. The same thing happens when it’s night time IRL but day time in the sim. I’ve been given penalties for not having my landing lights on at night when it was a bright and clear day.

Ah, this would explain why when flying the Cessna 172 I was denied taxi clearance yesterday evening for my first mission flight out of KITW with clear, daytime in-sim skies. The real-world conditions at the time were most certainly IFR-only. Super confusing. This really needs to get fixed. Upvoted.

UPDATE: In my case, even when the airport is VFR, ATC still denies taxi, which is captured by this post. Workaround is to request IFR clearance.

The usual fix for MS errors is to Power Down and completely re-boot.

Note. If Career Mode takes ‘Live Weather’ and uses that METAR to adjust ATC, what it looks like is an error in the running of the game.

The ‘rule’ is to follow ‘Live weather’. It might not look like ‘live’, but it should be taken as real.

A 20 knt sidewind will ground a C172. You need to save to buy an A320.
