AI Low Speed Flyby

I use FSLTL injector with FST. Last few months, I started noticing there are some AI aircraft that come in to land at unrealistically low speed like 40-50 KTS and instead of touching down, do a taxi speed flypast over the runway.

During this, I do see some occasional aircraft coming in at the right speed and touching down as well.

I just cant understand whats going on here, has anyone else also faced this?

Just general AI logic in MFS2020. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe they’re scripted. They do the same thing in my game as well. (Xbox)

I would suggest in my work with creating AI aircraft for my sceneries, that kind of behavior would happen on two occasions, the first is if the airport is not properly configured, which seems unlikely if other AI aircraft use it, still, you would need to rule out a runway length incompatibility, parking size/availability type issue for the affected aircraft, Cessnas will land where Boeing cannot.

The other cause is traffic conflicts, AI in the pattern or even taxiing, if the taxiway is too close to the runway, will cause a wave off. If the user aircraft is anywhere in the vicinity, AI will defer to it, so if you’re slewed over the runway watching, it’s better to use the developer cam, they can’t see us there.

If the traffic addon software only adds flight plans, it can’t really be to blame. If it also includes AI models, those could possibly be incorrectly configured.
