This issue is marked at “Solved” - however, it’s NOT solved for Xbox users. It’s still missing after Update 1.1.10.0.
We need to get together and demand that it be put back in!!!
Who declared this solved. The community had to go out and find a workaround. Thats a pretty lazy response.

I tried the work around co-pilot in 2024 compared to the native co-pilot in in 2020 on back to back flights - same departure, same destination - and they both failed miserably.

The AI Copilot does not work 100% of the time on all aircraft at all times, especially for many 3rd party aircraft. It depends if the developer wants to support it. (They don’t have to support all MSFS functionality.) There are times when I try to use AI Copilot for taxiing where it just sits there and does nothing.
If the AI Copilot works on certain aircraft in FS2020, it (the workaround) should work the same on 2024 unless there are bugs in 2024 outside of the AI Copilot not in 2020.

This isn’t fixed. It is only a workaround. The video even says it is a workaround. Can the “fixed” checkbox on this topic be removed?
If this is something deliberately excluded from 2024, then it should be added to the Wishlist.
Work around worked for me. I don’t use the AI pilot function tho, only the co-pilot handling the ATC comms.

By the way… , not everyone can handle 10,000 buttons and switches in the flight simulator. That’s why I actually found the setup in FS2020 to be quite good. Regardless of whether you wanted to use it or not.

Its so much worse than no AI copilot. Any autopilot or accessibility toggles don’t work either.
I go to take off, and crosswind shoves me off the runway, even though I have the setting for that to be automatically corrected turned on. Once I’m in the air, I have to manually control every control surface to maintain level flight, even though I have the setting for that to be done automatically turned on.
I turn on any autopilot systems, like the altitude hold or heading autopilots, and they do nothing.
I’d go back to 2020 if I could, but I’d have to uninstall everything on my computer to have enough storage space for it.
