Brief description of the issue:

at certain airports such as KDTW and RKSS and others the AI pilot either shuts down the aircraft, ends the flight or sets the parking brake as if to park after touchdown, ignoring ATC requests to vacate runway.

These are usually issues with the airports design and not with the ai copilot itself. Are these any addon airports?

This is most definitely airport design fault, there is a broken or orphan node somewhere. I personally would take the addon airport and put this outside the community folder. If you are good with developer mode, you can create a copy the airport in question for test purposes. Alternatively if you are new to airport design and want to create a quick rough and ready copy of the airport in question, head over to FSdevelopers and download the excellent airport design editor, unfortunately this software is no longer being maintained as the great man has taken retirement.
ADE will allow you to quickly create and compile a copy of the airport and you can test and see if that AI of yours will taxi to parking.
Don’t forget to download the MSFS SDK and Samples, they can be download in the sim once you are in developer mode, go to the top help and select SDK.
