Yes, back to “normal” for me too. With the SU12 improvements I feel AI is starting to get to an acceptable level of performance. I prefer offline AI so AIG is my program of choice. After months of little or no landing traffic, I am now seeing regular arrivals. My only criticism is that long float above the runway before touching down which is clearly an Asobo issue.
Try AIGround and AIFlow from flightsim.to. AIFlow will force the AI to touchdown and you can now assign a landing only runway. It’s not perfect but gives us a temporary fix until Asobo fix it.
There’s a whole host of other features too such as flight control checks on pushback.
Here’s the only Toll Metro pack on flightsim.com:
Yes, I had the same experience. With AIFlow and AIGround, it’s now pretty decent. If we could just a get a fix to eliminate the needless go arounds, I would be pleased with AI traffic.
Hi all,
does someone know where to get the files from “UTT” aka “United Traffic Team”? Their website is down and I can’t find them elsewhere…
Thanks, SaltyTom
We have requested permission from them to upload on our site, till then sadly no way to get them.
Okay, thanks for your quick answer. So lets hope you get their permission then.
Thanks, SaltyTom
Hi all,
can someone explain me what I’m doing wrong…?
- I downloaded all airlines with AIG AI Manager (some repaints where missing, most from UTT, but that shouldn’t be a problem, right? They just don*t appear then in the sim…)
- I run AIG Traffic Controller
- I start up MSFS and load a flight (no flightplan) i also tried different airports.
Has AI Manager also be up and running? I thought i need AI Manager only to install the different airlines/flightplans and only Traffic Controller needs to run to inject traffic.
Traffic Controller says up and running and shows the number of ground vehicles around me.
But no planes get loaded, i waited around 15 mins. Then Traffic Controller closed itself.
Also tried to use the button “delete traffic” and “inject traffic” but nothing happened.
In the sim options i have complete turned of AI traffic and airplane ground traffic.
Airport ground vehicles is turned to 100%.
Another question, when i want to use the AIG models and liveries for life traffic, i just have to not start up any AIG software and use life traffic in the sim? Do they have the right liveries for their region then, or are they just mixed around the whole globe.
Appreciate your help!
Thanks, SaltyTom
A few tips:
No
Try starting the sim first and start the flight, eg. cold and dark. Then start AIGTC.
Also in the shortcut properties for AIG traffic Controller check that in the shortcut tab the target includes the argument “-MSFS2020”
\AIGTech - Traffic Controller.exe" -MSFS2020
Click on the Advanced button and ensure that run as administrator is selected.
Optionally in the Compatibility tab select the Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8 option.
Correct, but model matching can be incorrect at times. MSFS will use whatever it thinks is a close match if it cannot find the right one and is often wrong.
When using AIG Traffic Controller for traffic make sure that you are using these MSFS settings:
Hi @AviatorDown8227,
thanks for your reply. I tried everything you mentioned above, but that didn’t do the trick.
Traffic Controller says SimConnect ->connected, but zero AIGFP Airlines get loaded.
Also tried to remove all other mods from my community folder, but still no AI traffic gets loaded.
On the screenshot you see what i get in Traffic Controller.
Do you have the correct OCI-Directory path (AIGFP Traffic) in the settings?
Also try running Verify Setup in AI Manager.
Yes I only have MSFS2020 installed and so Traffic Controller has choosen the right folder.
Support is at Alpha India Group - Index (alpha-india.net)
Also on Discord Alpha India Group
Did that twice. I only have some missing repaints from UTT but that shouldn’t cause the problem i guess.
Might be an issue with your file/directory paths in TC since it isn’t seeing any flightplans - setting in TC should look something like this attached photo (pointing to your AIM folder)
.
As suggested, head over to AIG’s forums/discord as they can help you there, including analyzing the program’s logs which might clear up your issue.
Also it is a good idea when testing to start at a busy international airport during daytime when you can be sure there are aircraft actually operating. It is quite normal for remote places to have no traffic at times in real life.
Hey Guys,
over the last few months we have updated all our tools to the new UI-Layout you already can see in AIG Traffic Controller. With the new AIM Version (1.1.2.X) we will bring this new layout to AIM as well. Besides that we have added new functions for a faster way for you guys up-to-date with OCI.
“Update SimObject Content” will update quickly all SimObjects, Effects and other 3rd party content required for the SimObjects, without running the whole verify setup process. (No more message box after the startup)
“Update Flightplans” can now be started for the main window, and is shown when an updated flightplan is online. (No more need to check the online list!)
“Install Flightplans” will install all available flightplans and can now be started from the main window. It will be shown as soon as a new flightplan is online. (No more need to check the online list!)
With the 1.1.2 Update we will make “load only OCI data” for MSFS users the new default. Users using this option in AIM 1.1 already are reporting that using this option the loading times of AIM can be reduced to 2-4 minutes. Since many (if not all) MSFS users are using AIM only for OCI, we feel this is the best way to make AIM enjoyable for the majority of MSFS users.
Besides that we have made a significant change to OCI:
At the moment users are required to disable “manual downloads” before running a OCI-Bulk installation, this can cause an interrupted process if the user does not see the message. With the next update we have inverted this design. Users are no longer asked to download files manually during the OCI Bulk-Install by default, they need to enable this via the OCI settings.
This change is bringing OCI closer to the “single-pack/fire and forget” installer many users are requesting without us providing a “all in one download ZIP”. (Airlines that could not be installed can be installed afterwards via the “online-list”)
(Preview-Image is WIP and already outdated )
Any update to make sure when new liveries are released it can get updated? Right now have to delete the flightplan to get new liveries.
What do you mean, “have to delete the flight plans to get new liveries”? All you have to do is when there is update available, just click it and it’s done automatically.
