Vision Jet is on the way in the form of a retrofit of Russ Barlow’s instruments for X-Plane (with permission, of course). His graphics were excellent. He was planning on doing this but didn’t have the time, so he’s letting us go ahead with it.
So far I have the switch panel operational along with the addition of a Knobster-enabled thumb wheel for the checklist. I had to do some edits to his graphics to make this one work.
Fuel selector and flap indicator aren’t shown here, but coming as well. Have the auto-throttle panel kinda-sorta working but not quite right. It’s a WIP. Environmental Control System isn’t started yet but will follow.
GTC 580s had to be recoded to work with 3 positions and all new commands from the ones used in the TBM. The legacy GTC code works for the center GTC, but not the others. Even the middle one has newer events.
I expect I’ll be able to release the important stuff I have working now in the next few days. There’s still a lot of work to be done before stuff is ready for at least early access, but it’s coming along well.
So far, what works does so very well. I’ve got about a dozen hours now on this little flying iPad and it’s great fun with all these instruments.
