Air traffic control approach requires climbing to cruising altitude

This problem has always existed, and many people have raised it. I think this problem often causes problems for my flight. I don’t know whether I should listen to ATC or keep landing. When I sail to prepare for the approach and landing, the ATC tower often asks I climbed to the originally set cruise altitude. Did I do something wrong? Even though I applied to the air traffic control to lower the altitude to 5000 feet before entering the venue, I was still required to recover and climb to the cruise altitude after entering the approach procedure 16000 feet, this causes me trouble

Dont worry … they are happy to fly you into mountains as well when deciding your approach altitude … hahahah

The Constraint button on the EFIS panel has generally been of great help. I tend to not listen to ATC much on approaches.
