Without VNAV, you do have to be on your toes, but there are many real-world regional airline jets that either have no VNAV at all, or very limited VNAV.

situation with Vatsim flight isn’t critical in my opinion (of course I want have all ok and updated) because many pilots fly with different nav DB. Solution is call for vectors what can of course delay complete traffic or ATCs are sometimes also friendly with old DB SID/STAR/APP selection. All depends to ATC who regulates flow. Problem is more with not correct data in nav DB (not correct patterns in case of heading, not offsetted aproaches in case they need to be as published, …).

Nav Blue partnership: Agreement is new nav data comes every 28 days, and goes into the next game update. Next one comes mid October, after some high level testing, will go into game updates. Has already started. Charts are a little more work. Was on plan for launch, didn’t make it. Will be on sim update (probably not November). One of reasons signed with NavBlue.
