AIRAC 2010 Cycle? (NAVBLUE)

So it’s September 10th, should we expect a small MSFS update with the current AIRAC cycle from NAVBLUE?

Navigraph is up-to-date, as they religiously release new FMS data according to the 28-day AIRAC cycle:

Unfortunately MSFS is outdated and missing several SIDs and STARs, compared to the previous 2009 cycle and even more so now. Those guys at Navigraph are hard at work to fill in the gaps. What about NAVBLUE?

Cheers!

I’m guessing that the lack of information on navdata updates, from NavBlue, is likely to be tied to the current issues with the marketplace and as soon as they are fixed, we are likely to quickly see a NavBlue entry, offering various subscription packages.

Whether Navigraph also appears in the marketplace, i guess we will see.

I think there are some errors with the current cycle, I was trying this approach and it routed me to crash into the mountain, maybe its a bug in the sim

I also found that the cycle information in the FMC is just hard coded text and does not provide any insight in the used AIRAC.

I hope the basic NavData will be fixed first, like missing runways at airports and NavData of airports not in the sim (but provided by 3rd party like EHEH, EDDS and LEMG)…

my guess is, charts and navdata will be free for msfs users, once everything is integrated in the sim.

   I like your optimism.

Marketplace seems to be up and running, they just included a couple of new airports.

Considering that i.e. navdata is 30 euros a year and including charts is even like 80 euros a year @ Navigraph, I highly doubt it will be offered for free.

I hope you’re right

I’ve already replaced navblue data with airac 2010 via the navigrath fms data and it’s much better missing airways are added, better transitions

High altitude IFR is much worse with Navigraph… And also, due to a bug in MSFS, if you use Navigraph and fly an ILS you always need to manually fill the frequency…

The NavBlue AIRAC data is a core sim file, so I wouldn’t expect it to show up in the Marketplace. If it is indeed going to be updated, I would assume it would be something that gets automatically downloaded at the “checking for updates” prompt when starting the sim. The new AIRAC cycle starts today, so if there is no update by midnight tonight, then it would be time to start asking questions of Asobo regarding when/how the nav data is going to be updated.

Navigraph is now an option, but it is still in early beta and definitely has some issues at the moment.

Considering it was released not only outdated but missing many SIDs and STARs, I think it’s fair to ask questions. That’s the purpose of this forum.

What do you mean by this? Don’t you always have to manually enter the ILS frequency…?

The a320 fms normally automatically fills in the ILS frequency and heading for the selected destination runway

Could you please explain how you succeeded in replacing navblue data by navigraph air 2010?

You have to purchase a subscription and then use their data manager. Right now there is beta software to inject it into MSFS2020.

It’s not free and there are bugs currently.

@Alainzu

Generally,

I’ll be still careful to hurry with Navigraph beta Data Update because is bugy now and guys still investigate. Stay with still existing NavBlue DB because I had also other issues with not NAV and RNAV approaches functionality.

IFR and Vatsim pilots, we’re pretty much on hold until charts+ is released and NAVBlue / Microsoft update the embedded info. Missing waypoints, sids and stars just messed everything up.

Nothing worse to go through the steps of planning a route, pre filing with Vatsim, and not have the arrival or departure in the MCDU. Or ATC assigns the STAR they are using, and it not show up for you.

I think the part that bothers me the most is the lack of communication from Microsoft/Asobo regarding this promise they made pre-launch.

A little communication with us would go along way. Some of us don’t want to be negative Nancy’s, SO if we could get updates on what’s on the agenda to update, fix or implement, might give us some more patience.

KDEN is missing both SIDs and STARS.

You have to remember to always be referencing the charts and making sure you don’t go below any altitude limits that are in the STAR.

It’s tricky with no VNAV.
