Since the beta update on September 30th, I noticed that when spawning in the A330-300P2F, the entire overhead panel is in a messed-up state… lights are on, several buttons are already pressed, and some systems have been switched on or off by default.
In addition, the state of events such as Nav_lights_Set can no longer be changed
(Furthermore all passive aircraft now have their lights permanently on.)
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
Start the Sim
Pick A330 and start a flight
Overhead panel and switches in the cockpit are in a messed-up state.
Using the AIrcraft-EFB setting a panel state fixes the problem
YOUR SETTINGS
What peripherals are you using:
Not relevant. No Dev Mode, RTX3080ti, 7800x3d, 64gb ram.
I’ve observed this as well - the default panel state is no longer cold & dark when spawning at a gate, but somewhere in between cold & dark and ready for takeoff. Restoring the cold & dark panel state via the iniBuilds EFB is a temporary workaround until this is resolved officially.
OK so I’ve given this A330 a few honest attempts in SU4, and I just can’t seem to get past the pre-flight tasks without CTD.
When I try to use the MSFS EFB, everything just freezes, so I gave up on that.
When I load in cold and dark, as mentioned, it’s not cold and dark, but in a weird state, so I naturally go to the ini Tablet Panel State and set Cold and Dark. That works. But when I import a flight plan and payload info from Simbrief, and try to send payload to the plane, I got a CTD.
So should I just wait for new build before trying the iniBuilds in SU4?
Hmm this one is interesting/concerning - the A330 has been one of my go-to benchmark planes for each build of a SU and I have never once had a CTD. I honestly don’t think I did one on the current build though so let me hop in and see if I can recreate. You may just need to refresh rolling cache and/or streamed packages. I’ll report back in a few.
UPDATE:
No issues at the gate, during taxi, or takeoff and climb - I would take a look at the areas mentioned earlier and see if you can’t work out whatever local issue may be causing this for you.
We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
