Airbus Quadrant only able to move at IDLE and Full Reverse. Have tried calibrate and do setting in control panel but failed. pls advise.
Hm.. I need a bit more information to help you out with this.. What does the Thrustmaster control panel looks like, do they still move properly in there? Or is the problem only applies in MSFS?
I have the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition. The problems only apply to my MFS 2020 but my X Plane 11 seem ok. Before the latest update my quadrant is ok. I have tried many ways including calibrating and reinstall the A32NX plane but still could not solved the problem.
Yes, I know. I have Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition with Addons attached and mine is working fine in MSFS. Let’s not think about X-Plane for a bit, Just because one X-Plane works and MSFS doesn’t, it doesn’t mean that MSFS is the problem. There must be an issue somewhere in between.
What I’m asking is, When you open the Thrustmaster Control panel, do the throttle axis moves okay? Like smoothly from full reverse, then slowly fill until the TOGA detent? This is the first step to check. If the control panel is behaving correctly, then we can conclude that your hardware itself is fine. And there must be either of these scenarios:
A: Your Throttle profile in MSFS gets reset somehow and the sensitivity curve is changed so it’s no longer moving the way it’s suppose to, or
B: You are using FlyByWire A32NX Stable Version that doesn’t really have a custom calibration tool from the EFB, or
C: You are using FlyByWire A32NX Development version that has custom calibration tool, but you haven’t recalibrated from the latest update, or that the calibration is lost somewhere, or.
D: You are using FlyByWire A32NX Experimental version, in which case is now outdated and already merged into the development version, so if you’re moving there your calibration is now off and needs recalibrating from the EFB, or
E: A combination of two or more things above.
This is why I was asking for more details. Which aircraft you are using, what actually happen. Is it a reverse axis issue? where if you push forward the throttle moves backwards, or vice versa.
I’m here to help you go through the troubleshooting process of elimination, investigating and observing the behaviour so that you can find the actual cause of the problem. MSFS has a lot of working and moving parts, if one isn’t working, it doesn’t mean the entire software is the problem, and that’s why we need to dig a little deeper try different things, see how it behaves, and think logically find a solution.
- I am using the FlyByWire Development version. I can’t do the calibration cos the 'Apply & Save & Save button in EFB is not active.
- The throttle profile has been reset as i tried various ways to solved the problem.
- When in cockpit the throttle is in IDLE position but if u move the throttle it will automatic move down to Full Reverse. It cannot be move up to CL/FIX MCT/TOGA.
Okay so the problem is the first one. I suggest you go to the FlyByWire discord page and ask for the support, why is the Apply and Save button not active. Because without this active, you can’t calibrate your throttle, and if you can’t calibrate your throttle, it will always be a problem for you.
