ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
I can not for the life of me get the throttles on this thing to work. The throttles work fine with all the detents working correctly on 2020. It is calibrated correctly and all other buttons work throttles are just busted and move all over the place if they move at all.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time I try to play the game

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Plug in Airbus Edition throttle quadrant
  2. Move throttle
  3. Throttle will not move as intended

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are currently plugged in? Please name all of them as there could be a potential conflict.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.

How did you get it to work on 2020? I’m having the exact same issue that you’re describing, but for 2020 and on Xbox

I also have a similar issue, except it does not register my reverse thrust.

From what I remember, one, if you are using and aircraft with an efb, see if you can configure the throttles on it. Two, I think I went into my setting and instead of using the actual throttles for the input, I went had to actually go and select the throttle axis manually as when the throttles hit a detent, it’s detected as an individual input. I know I didn’t explain that very well but I hope it kind of helps lol

I had issues when it was plugged into a USB hub, when i plugged it directly to PC, worked fine, except for reverse thrust.

This has always been an issue for Asobo, don’t know why they can’t get it to work.

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, I’m still having trouble configuring it. When I set both throttles to full power, one of them moves forwards and the other moves backwards in the sim. When I set both throttle levers to maximum reverse thrust, one of them goes to full forward thrust, and the other barely moves into the reverse thrust category. The buttons, knob and switches on the throttle piece still work as intended, though

Hi , you may find helpful reading my previous posts.Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition not working in reverse thrust - #10 by crazyhorsejesol

I checked this out and it hasn’t solved my problem. I think what I need to know is what you have every single keybind set to for the throttle quadrant in the mapping for FS

I went into the configuration for the Airbus 320 V2 and was checking out the EFB. I did the throttle calibration thing and have it set so every single indent is mapped. However, I still have a couple of things I need to have addressed:

  • the sensitivity between each indent of the throttle isn’t the best
  • the reverse thrust doesn’t register, even though I calibrated it on the EFB

I also calibrated the Throttle Quadrant itself numerous times, but the reverse thrust still doesn’t work

See these 3 pics: The third is referred to the sensitivity curves. The pic show the white dot when on IDLE position. With levers on reverse position the dot moves up-right. Pic 1 shows the gear icon to click in order to get access to pic 2 and 3. Make sure you set in the same way both axis “X” and “Y”. Pics are in reverse order.Pic 1 at the bottom.

Please note that the FIRST and most important thing to do is to do the Thrustmaster calibration as explained on the Thrustmaster internet site. (I posted it on my previous posts) .Second comes the quadrant setting on the SIM…and third the calibration on the EFBs for the V2 and FBW .

Any chance you can do this again but in FS20 and not 24

Well..this thread is referring to 2024…you should have mentioned it..Let’s see later on ..when I have some spare time.

I did mention it, though…

Ok..I didn’t notice it.. So , on 2020 :

  1. If you haven’t done it yet do the Thrustmaster calibration first as explained in the Thrustmaster site.

  2. Do the SIM settings as shown in the pic.

  3. Do the FBW EFB setting ..the attached pic only shows one step of the calibration process that start with the “reset to Default” and then both levers on reverse and going up. You may find many youtube tutorials showing how to proceed.

hope it helps..

This applies to the inibuilds A320neo V2 on Xbox too right?

Not exactly.

First of all..I’m on PC not xbox but the settings should be the same.

My first pic above shows the A320FBW EFB. Consider that the planes with an on-board EFB also need their mandatory specific/custom thrust settings. (This apply to others planes too like B747 and so on)

My second pic above is related to the “sensitivity” of the FBW plane but is the same for the V2..You may vary the sensitivity a little bit to fit your preferences .

The third pic above shows the SIM bindings for a TWO jet engines planes with reverse

Hereafter I’ll attach the pic of the A320 INI V2 EFB.

Every EFB has its own different calibration process . Conceptually is the same (in my opinion).

Airbus Captains X pack?

Is the quadrant/sidestick in the correct mode for pc and not Xbox or vice versa.

For setting up of the Thrustmaster ( TM ) Airbus gear there is an additional guide on the TM website with relation to using them in msfs2024.

Depending on which aircraft your using them in, you will have to calibrate them for that aircraft.

You’ll find the calibration guide (not in the Sim) for the older type quadrant, ie pre captains X pack on the TM website.
