ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Hello. I have recently bought the Airbus Thrustmaster Officer Pack, and ever since I bought it, the Throttle hasn’t been matching the in-game throttle. What I mean by this is that for example when I put my thrust lever on Idle, the in-game throttle is on climb. When I put my throttle on Climb, the in-game throttle goes to TO/GA. When I put my thrust levers to max reverse, the in-game thrust levers go to Idle which is super annoying.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
I am experiencing this issue with no installed add-ons/mods.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
This happens on the Airbus A320, A321, and A330 Every time I spawn it in and use the Throttle.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Spawn A320, A321, A330.
  2. Use throttle
  3. See difference in real Throttle and In-game throttle.

Forgot to add, this happens only to all Airbus aircraft.

• tried the reset the factory setup. No improvement. Used the cockpit tablet. Not working either.

• Yes. But doing the calibration procedure on the in cockpit iPad-like gizmo corrected it for a while. But a couple of days ago the reverse thrust portion stopped working.

• I’m posting this as a possible clue to any developer working on this. I got it back working by setting REVERSE ON AXIS to No briefly, then setting back to Yes (where it should be) and recalibrating again. It now works perfectly again! The physical control matches the in sim control and reverse thrust works again. Maybe some setting behind the scene was changed or corrupted?

I can confirm this is a thing I had to do. Reverse were not working on the A400m, unless I unchecked then checked-back the “REVERSE ON AXIS”. As aircraft listed in this thread are from Ini (to my understanding & knowledge), I might be a thing for all their aircraft.

For original post, @Qualif1iedCat, your post lacks the answer, so the question I’d like to ask is : did you get through the calibration setup, in the tablet of the aircraft (not on the EFB from the sim) ? It’s in the Settings part, all way down to “calibration”.

Cheers,
K.

Cheers back to you!
The latest update to FS 2020 1.38.2.0 includes an updated IniBuilds A320neo (v2). It has the same behavior. Reverse thrust used to work but now the throttle behaving as if REVERSE ON AXIS is set to No even though it shows on the EFB as Yes. Setting it briefly to No, then back to Yes cleared the problem and reverse thrust back working as it did before the update.
Sounds like an issue across the board with the latest IniBuilds Airbuses? I suppose we download the latest on FS 2024 every time so it’s not clear when it is updated on the server. I wonder what happens if it’s not in my cache and has to be downloaded again in the near future? Will the mismatched reverse thrust setting come back again? I guess I’ll have to double check each time before flying until I’m sure.

I’ve also had this problem but it’s happened on all aircraft for me. I’ve tried adjusting the throttle settings in game but it does nothing. I’ve been flying the cessna 172. If i set the throttle to idle, it goes to idle and if i set it to toga it goes to toga but everything in between is wrong. If i set 45% power, it’ll go to 80% and if i set 90% power, it’ll go to 95%. the throttle seems to have less sensitivity the further up i set it and it has way to much sensitivity on lower power settings. I also have the issue where if i set reverse on planes that have it, it’ll go to idle in-game. i’ve tried thrustmaster’s calibration but that didn’t do anything. I’ve tried a reset and i’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the game but nothing works. I’m playing on xbox series x so i only have limited settings and the tablets within the aircraft dont work for me. i can only turn them on or off.

Anyone got a solution? I’ve tried everything but it still wont work

Hi !

Can you check in the windows panel for USB Game Controlers if you spot something wrong ?

To access this tool, you’d have to type “USB Game Controllers” in your windows start menu, then you’ll be presented with a small windows with your input list, where you should find your Airbus Quadrant. Double click on it, then move axises and push buttons, just to see if everything goes smooth.

One thing you’re loooking for is your two main throttle axises, it will make the small cross move :

  • From Right to Left, for the left one
  • From Down to Up, for the right one

You want to be sure that you can put the cross in each of the four corners.

Both full reverse

image

Left TOGA, Right Reverse

Left TOGA, Right TOGA

Left Reverse, Right TOGA

You want to see, also, that while your moving the axis, there is no “jump”, the cross foes only from one position to the very next pixel on your screen.

If it’s not the case, I would recommend that you hit, on the first tab, the “Calibrate” button. It will help Windows to reconsider what is a zero, what is not. The process take a minute or two

If everything there is good, then we can state that your throttle works well, and the issue is in MSFS.

Cheers,
K.

ok so i just tested on my pc and the throttle works fine. maybe it’ll be in another major fix for msfs. I dont know what setting to try there because i’ve looked at all control settinggs. I’ve unbinded the throttle on my joystick, i’ve tried putting it on another axis, i’ve tried everything the game has in that area.
