I can take off with no problem but when I land the F-16 or the F/A 18 on the aircraft carriers with tail hook extended, the arrest cables do nothing to stop the jets. I have tried landing while low on fuel with no change in status.
In this video This fella can land but his aircraft carrier has a ramp which immediately stops fighter jets. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.
Question-when you use fighter jets other than the FA18/F16 (if you do) does the arrest cable stop those aircraft?
I own only the F/A 18 and SC Design’s F-16. I can land the F/A 18 on the carrier in Top Gun: Maverick | Carrier Landing Challenge but no where else.
That is because unless you have one of the Carrier addons (harddeck or the otherone), CAVOK is not operation in the sim. And I don’t know that the F16 is even carrier able…?
Thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that landing was possible on George H.W. Bush carrier (CVN-77) with the F/A 18 and F-16.
At the moment for XBOX the only planes that can catch the arresting wire are the Indiafoxtecho T45 & F35c.
They also do catapult launch. Unfortunatly other planes do not as yet catch the wire on xbox they do for PC with the carrier mod but as of yet not availiable for xbox
