Aircraft Identification Configuration Always Resets

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

If any of the three (3) text fields on the “Aircraft identification” page of the configuration menu are cleared to have no value, they will always return to whatever the last value was prior to being cleared.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?

No, nor did I experience this issue in 1.3.13.0 - this only appeared today with 1.3.19.0.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Yes and yes.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Select any aircraft in the free flight aircraft selection menu
  2. Click “Configure”
  3. Click “Identification”
  4. Assign a value of text to any of the following fields: “Tail number”, “Call sign”, or “Flight number”
  5. Click “Save and Back”
  6. Repeat steps two (2) and three (3)
  7. Erase any of the values you just assigned to those three fields and hit enter so the text box is blank and shows the greyed text indicating the fields title (“Tail number”, “Call sign”, or “Flight number” respectively)
  8. Repeat steps five (5) and six (6)
  9. Observe that the fields you just left blank have now re-populated with the values you assigned in step four (4).

I have the same problem. Tail number can be set, but not erased. Call Sign and Flight number also can not be deleted. At least the first character stays in those fields.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: When attempting to clear callsign, flight number, and tail number fields, simulator defaults back to last user input, unable to fly GA aircraft using just the registration as ident. I would like to use randomly generated registrations for GA flying and for career mode, however I am unable to get the sim to recognize these fields being cleared.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Open configuration tab for any given aircraft and input a custom tail number, callsign, and flight number of your choice.
  2. Load into a flight with selected identification for your aircraft.
  3. End flight
  4. Return to configuration setting, attempt to clear fields (imagine you’re trying to fly a GA aircraft and would like to use a randomly generated tail number from the sim)
  5. Either close configurator, or go to any other configuration tab (livery tab, for example)
  6. Return to Identification tab. You will see that your custom inputs have been retained, despite you trying to clear them.

Are you using Sim update 2 beta? As this seems to be solved in update 2.
