Aircraft lights not reflecting on ground and aircraft. "Worked" when resetting the Light Intensity on Dev Mode

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

Yes, but I activated it so I can debug my issue.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons? If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

Yes. Already did as suggested by iniBuilds on their forum. https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/23446-external-lights-not-reflecting-on-ground-111/?do=findComment&comment=53719

Brief description of the issue:

After SU15, I started to see that most aircraft exterior lights were not working as they should. Some, were not projecting their light into the ground or the aircraft, others had the intensity diminished. It happens on both Asobo and third-party addons.
I already tried removing all mods, updating the NVIDIA drivers, deleting the NVIDIA cache, uninstalling and reinstalling third-party planes, and playing around with different graphic settings. Nothing worked, until I found the “User Lights” menu on the Developer Mode that I found out that by “resetting” the light intensity (moving back and forward the intensity slider), the light went normal (see YT video below).

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:
This is how almost every plane looks with ALL lights turned ON. As you can see, there’s no reflection on ground nor the airplane.

This obviously doesn’t fix the bug, as I need to that with all airplanes when I load them.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

I just loaded an addon (the SR22 from Asobo) at night.

Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version (Learn how to find your current graphics card driver version):

NVIDIA 1070Ti. Driver 561.09

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

i7-8700k, NVIDIA msi 1070 Ti 8GB, 16GB RAM.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

Don’t know the exact version, but after SU15.

I hope someone can help, as it’s impossible to flight at night when no light is doing its job :smiling_face_with_tear::joy:!

Hi, It’s the direction of the lights that doesn’t initialise. You can see the landing light shining downwards and resetting when you change a parameter. Does this happen when departing from a runway only or from a car park as well?

Hey @Nicottine30 ,

The lights always looks like that, both when starting on the runway or on a parking position.

it looks like a fault in loading effects or aircraft models. There have already been reports of a fault in the texture used for lights and may well have been since the SU15. But exterior lighting does not seem to be their priority, we can no longer even see air traffic more than 20 meters away

hmm :smiling_face_with_tear: and, do you know if there’s a way to reload or force the textures or lights to reload?
