Fine – then please let us know what the answer is to your question, when someone figures it out and tell you .
You are wrong, disabling the autopilot before pausing the game works. BUT in my opinion this is related to the airplane and to the connected devices.
The problem always occurs with A310 and Thrustmaster Hotas One WITH autopilot active
Also happens on honeycomb alpha and bravo quadrant.
Unpausing cause the flaps, speed brake and yoke to violently move either fully extended and yoke to the left or yoke right.
Yep, for active pause maybe, but I didn’t have AP engaged in the video. In fact the video I was making had nothing to do with the issue, it just so happened to occur when I went into the box settings “Record What Happens Next” and then returned to the game. It happens to numerous aircraft , and also occurs with Turtle Beach Velocity one.
I DON’T speak about ACTIVE PAUSE, it also happens with SET PAUSE ON.
Anyway they won’t fix this
I just had this issue in the Milviz 310, had AP enabled, went into active pause for 15 minutes, started again and the 310 went into a dive which resulted in end to flight due to stress damage.
I will remember to disable AP next time, thanks.
With active pause you will crash also without AP
Ok so active pause is basically borked?
I also notice when I start a flight from the air the aircraft also has a hissy fit.
Active Pause is totally unuseful, the simulation goes on.
Load/Save and start from the sky is broken also
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
I do.

It happend to me when i was on final ILS07L for KPHX. it was a cat 1 landing. i paused the game for 30 seconds with ESC to activate replaytool. I resumed my game and the aircraft made some sudden movements and went into a go around state
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
Exact same thing happening for me in the 146 and PMDG 737. Also Using VOFS… Thought it could be something with the touchpad but reduced the sensitivity of it to minimum and no changes.
I have this issue on PC (Steam version.) This is recent, and I’ve had it happen multiple times for about two weeks now.
I pause on PC using the ESC key. If I do this, when returning from out of that menu my plane trim goes from wherever it was to 100% meaning controls fully pulled back and the plane will enter a very steep climb, subsequent stall/fall and spiral. This has happened both in a King Air 350 and a Cessna 208 Grand Caravan so far. The times I’ve seen this, I had autopilot engaged prior to hitting the ESC key to pause.
I do and have done this same technique normally for many months now, this is a NEW ISSUE that has only popped up recently. I have no newer mods added over that time beyond purchased aircraft I’m not even flying at this point.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
yes

I get this through pausing in any plane for any amount of time, this has nothing to do with active pause, but if you pause the whole flight with the start button, when are they going to fix this, it’s so frustrating
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
The same thing happened to me the other day, I had no idea this was a thing. I cannot access the template but did vote for it. I was flying the ATR using my hotas because the throttle management using a controller is very poorly implemented on the ATR and this happens
This is marked as fix in the Sim Update 13 Beta. For anyone in the Beta who has experience this issue, can you report if it is resolved for you? Thanks!
Just tested it in the Beta on Series X Flying the 787 at 40.000 Feet and pressing the Xbox home button on Controller, no out of control state when coming back. Then on the Velocity Flight Stick tried the same and returning back to the plane, no out of control state anymore.
So I can confirm it is resolved. Finally!
On XBox Series X, I am having the same out of control state issue every time I use the virtual keyboard. Spesifically to be able to use VFR Map search bar… we need to use on screen virtual keyboard to be able to search something and after that all the axises reset until I aply any input via my yoke. After the input applied everything backs to normal. I hope the root cause are the same and the issue is resolved.
I’m fairly confident the issue is one and the same. I didn’t test the virtual keyboard, specifically, when I tested the fix in the beta, but I know the issue was evoked by any sort of suspend state the sim was placed in when the Xbox OS was interacted with while the sim is running. That would include pressing the Xbox Nexus button or any momentary interruption of flight due to virtual keyboard interaction.
Thank you kindly for your response NixonRedgrave. Have nice flights
