Aircraft request Boom Supersonic Passenger jet

Now that supersonic passenger jets are coming again I think Asobo should look into the boom supersonic jetliner coming into service for all platforms (I believe United will start flying them)

How exactly do you expect anyone to do a good job modeling the aircraft not many people know very much about? (Performance, equipment, etc)

At this point, it’d be a fictional aircraft. Rolls Royce backed out, so there’s not even an engine established for this aircraft yet.

to be really honest i cannot see why i should vote this topic, when the aircraft is just a concept yet, we don’t have anything real about sys, engines, airframes. the aircraft hasn’t been assembled yet.. i would focus on more concrete aircraft or problematics of the sim itself.

I would love to see this aircraft even though it’s fictional at this point. They showed off a fairly detailed exterior and cockpit, there’s enough to go on for a medium complexity aircraft where the designer takes some liberties.

I’m not sure if “fictional” is accurate anymore as they just completed their second flight. Someone can screen capture the cockpit shot and get working on the avionics now :+1:

I gotta say, the shot of the three engines going to reheat on takeoff is pretty spectacular.

yeah idk if we will ever get this into release, kinda doubt actually
but working on the model was fun! )(randomly found this post now haha had to post renders of it )

Personal Comments and Observations

Someone needs to build the Anthem FMS. A non-trivial task. Just sayin’.

You know the solution is just to add the MSFS2020 King Air 350i avionics suite!

Coinciding with the PS5 launch, for the first time, players will be able to break the sound barrier in America’s first civil supersonic jet, Boom Supersonic’s demonstrator XB-1.

Looking forward to piloting the Boom XB-1!

Hopefully this indicates a partnership with Boom that will eventually mean we get the Overture supersonic airliner.

Well my expectations on this aircraft have gone way up. Partnership between FlightFX and Working Title. Sweet.

I wonder how much will they charge PC and Xbox users. Around $30 like the Citation X?

In the dev stream from just even, Jorg said we will get the XB-1 for free!

Yeah, very good news on that front
