The EV97 is ‘one of’ if not the most popular fixed wing Microlight aircraft in the UK. It is the stalwart of many microlight schools as is a great little Rotax 912 based tourer (along with the C42/CT2k). This small aircraft offers many people a way into aviation (me included) and certanly will be one of the future gateways ‘in’ given the low cost vs a ever expensive ‘General’ GA.
It would be great to see this fantastic aircraft in MSFS2020 given its real world implications for sustaining aviation long term and acting as a real first option trainer for many aspiring future aviators looking towards their N-PPL.
I believe its also known as the Sportstar in the US.
Would be great. In the meantime there is an excellently modelled Top Rudder 103 buried in the Marketplace under the Bundles heading that you may or may not be aware of. Costs less than a tenner too, what’s not to like!
Its a fantastic looking little aircraft with great visibility.
I was lucky enough to visit my local airfield at the weekend to gather reference photos and 3d scan their ev-97. Looking forward to bringing it to MSFS.
If you want any support/assistance let me know im a IRL Eurostar pilot (UK based 120hrs P1) so happy to help. A point of note if its any use, one of the more well known fleets flys out of Mainair - Manchester Barton, G-CDOA and G-CGVT. Lots and lots of images, videos on UT of these two aircraft, plus as I take them up I can always take extra snaps/videos whatever you need.
Brilliant! Absolutely I appreciate any help I can get especially from a IRL pilots. (I only have a handful of fixed wing time myself before I switched to doing a PPL(H) but its been years since i’ve flown IRL now.)
Any update on the Evektor Sportstar for MSFS? I’m currently training in one in real life and would purchase one for MSFS in a second.
Right now I’ve training in MSFS with the default JMB VL-3. It seems pretty close to the Evektor Sportstar but it would be great to have the EV-97 instead.
@AceMcCloudX - are you working on the EV-97? A local club here has one, and a pilot from that club will join me tomorrow to try MSFS. Would be nice to be able to tell him that it is in the works…
Hey sorry folks didn’t get a notification about your replies. I am still working on this but while I waited to gather more references I have switched to a helicopter that I had built but wasn’t sim-Ready. I hope to release That before Christmas. Then will be back to the ev97.
Cool, any news on the Ev97 for msfs 2020?
I’ve flown it in real life and might be getting a license on it. Would be assume to have it in the sim for some further practicing.
Hello, i would also love the Eurostar SL in the simulator! i have built a sim cockpit that is a replica of the Eurostar SL I am currently learning to fly in.
Please give us an update in regards to the project. i have many details which would help development if required.
