Aircraft Specific Control Mapping MS2024

Can someone explain to me how the control mapping for each aircraft work? I see there is aircraft specific profile but I can’t create a new one or select other profile I created for that specific aircraft.

I´m just in your exact situation. I think I´ve only flown 3 airplanes in 2024 and I must have like 27 control profiles. I don´t know who came up with the idea of having plane specific profiles. Honestly, just use the 2020 method that we all know how it works instead of just making us go to school to make our lifes harder. Same with the calibration, all different.

Okay. I am starting to understand a few things. The sim itself “knows” what a “General controls” and an “Airplanes controls” is. You do not assign a control to a category — it already exists in a category For example, if you change a control that pauses the sim, that will be stored in a “General controls” profile. Not just that but having 27 controller profiles because you can’t EDIT and SAVE any single profile! Totally bonkers that if I make one change a day for a week, I’m forced by Asobo design to have at least 7 profiles with different names. Change one little thing? Profile needs to be renamed and “Save as” (essentially).
