How are developers determining if their airports are compatible with FS2024? Until today, I’ve been very good about only using airports that are “officially” compatible with FS2024.
I just tried IniBuilds JFK, LAX, and EGLL. FlyTampa’s KLAS and EHAM. Airworth Designs’ TNCM. They all seem to work fine in SU1 Beta. Loaded with no obvious issues. Maybe a little shimmering. Performance is decent but everything is pretty decent for me.
Are these ok/wise to use? I’m not saying everything is going to work but I just tried 6 airports that seem fine (day and night lightning) and have not run into any obvious issues. 2024 has been super stable for me so I’ll see if that changes with these loaded.
Makes you wonder if this is more of a commerical/economic issue more than a technical one? Are developers hoping to be able to charge some kind of an “upgrade” fee (which I’m happy to pay if they add 2024 features) so are reluctant to state the 2020 versions are useable as is.
