Airport naming and icao allocation in the Highland Papua region is a mess

Brief description of the issue:
Type the single word Ubrub into the World map search box and see how many airports that have been called Ubrub in the highland Papua region (about 40 of them !! ) with invalid icao codes. The whole region is just wrong.

I’m currently developing this region and editing around 80 of the bush strips, correcting names and icao codes, where known. In the SDK I can delete all traces of the default airport, rename it and correct the scenery BUT after a save and compile the sim just doesn’t accept the changes. Only by using the icao code will the search find the airstrip but the old name remains.

If it helps I can provide a spreadsheet containing the corrected names and icao codes for all of the strips I’m working on.

This should be corrected in SU11. According to the SU11 Beta release notes:
“Fixed some wrong airport codes in Papua New Guinea”

Some? most of them are wrong lol. That is assuming that Asobo realise that the Highland Papua region is in Indonesia and not in PNG.

Thanks for letting me know, I’ll keep on editing all the airstrips and go back and change anything needed if the SU11 correction does get applied.

Fixed in Sim Update 13.
